Tenuta Del Numerouno Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Finding its roots on the southwestern Tuscany waterfront estate of Countess Romana Bicocchi Pichi, Numerouno first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil is produced from a variety of Tuscan olives grown entirely on the Bicocchi farm in Follonica near Grosseto. The mild seaside climate there provides protection from freezing and fosters early ripening in these handpicked olives which lowers their acidity. Preferring the unfiltered style because it retains the naturally rich and fruity flavor, Numerouno continues to delight gourmet chefs and amateur cooks alike. Brought into existence in 1850 when the Bicocchi family received a royal grant for the first presella—piece of land—to be drained from Maremma’s marshes, today this unspoiled land persists in yielding the fruit that makes Numerouno what it is: an extra virgin olive oil of the finest quality.
