In 1829, Francisco de Cala began the business of elaborating wines, brandies, and vinegars. He then passed the tradition on to its current owner, Genaro de Cala. Now dedicated almost wholly to the production of quality aged vinegars under the Duque de Diano label, Vinagre de Jerez is made from the finest Jerez wines and aged in American Oak barrels following the system of “soleras and criaderas” which ensures a uniform quality. The soleras that gave birth to this product were established in 1946.
